Rose Lockwood (née Dopson) is a contemporary British artist who works primarily in the field of painting. Born in North London in 1960, she is a graduate of the Royal College of Art.

Lockwood’s practice is informed by notions of temporality and transience, and authentic response to change, explored within thematically evolving realms. As narrative and aesthetics combine, what was ‘fixed’ becomes ‘un-fixed’ and imbued with fluidity.

Lockwood has lectured at several colleges of art and penal institutions across England and is an active advocate for Arts in Prisons. She has travelled and exhibited widely and now works from her studio in Cambridge, UK.
